We are pleased to announce the annual St. Mary’s Saints and Sinners 2018 Golf Classic at the beautiful Hempstead Golf and Country Club in Hempstead, New York, on Thursday, September 27, 2018.  Last year this event attracted over 100 golfers and tennis players from the worlds of insurance, finance, hospitality, real estate, and automotive industries for 18 holes of challenging golf and competitive tennis.  In addition to golf and tennis there will also be contests and games, brunch, cocktails and dinner with various auctions.

We hope you will join us on September 27th and take advantage of the numerous Saints and Sinners sponsorship opportunities which are detailed on the following pages.

For over 100 years St. Mary’s Church, located at the corner of Ridge Boulevard and 81st Street in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, has not only been a community leader in local charitable works, but an active participant in worldwide charities.  The Saints and Sinners Golf Classic will raise needed funds to begin the renovation of the church itself following the successful renovation and expansion of the social hall and educational wing.  St. Mary’s is a 501c(3) organization and 100% of the proceeds from this event will directly benefit the church and the charitable works it champions.

In conjunction with this outing we will present Deacon Farid Farkouh with the parish’s Lifetime Achievement Award.  Deacon Farid has served in virtually every aspect of parish leadership with distinction and dedication throughout his life.

We are also pleased to honor the late Susan V. Rohan with the Victor M. Samra, Jr. Memorial Award in recognition of her commitment  to St. Mary’s Church.  Susan was a philanthropist, friend and longtime supporter of public safety, art and health in New York.  As Vice President of the May Ellen and Gerald Ritter Foundation, she was instrumental in bringing state of the art technology to Lutheran Medical Center.

Please feel free to contact us at or a St. Mary’s Saints and Sinners committee member with any questions.
